Our History

Our Value Statement: “We believe all people should be respected and involved in creating their own services and directing their own lives. We participate in these values by being leaders in developing and providing innovative, customer directed quality services.”

DaySpring was formed in Oklahoma in 1997, and expanded into Arkansas in 2002. DaySpring is owned and operated by Dr. Randy Jarman, our Chief Executive Officer, and Archie Pounds, CPA, our Chief Financial Officer. Both Randy and Archie each have many years of mental health experience working in community mental health.

Our Vision: "To Give Our Communities a Choice and Our Consumers a Voice"

DaySpring's Executive Directors, Morna Pederson Rambo in Oklahoma and Wes Robbins in Arkansas also have many years of mental health experience working in management positions with private and community mental health agencies. These positions, coupled with Directors/Clinical Supervisors for each region, provide the support and direction to our clinical staff that enable them to provide quality services to the persons we serve.

All Dayspring clinical staff are highly qualified, and are eligible for reimbursement by Medicaid, Medicare and other insurance providers

SERVICE PHILOSOPHY

From its beginning, DaySpring BHS has been a home-based/community based agency. This means we do not require people to come into our clinics or offices for all services. We go where the individuals live and interact. We believe that bringing a counselor into the environment where people live and experience their daily successes and struggles makes our work together more efficient and productive. This approach provides a much closer interaction and partnership between the client and the counselor helping establish a stronger working relationship.

DaySpring has always been a company that focused upon outpatient behavioral services provided in community settings. At one time, we were providing services to the elderly in nursing homes, but discontinued these services when Medicaid no longer allowed us to provide services in that setting. Our commitment to the elderly population has continued by serving the elderly in senior housing complexes in the metropolitan areas in Tulsa and Oklahoma City.

Our services have expanded into many elementary, middle and high schools around the State. We also serve some alternative schools as well people in the vocational technology programs. Our clinicians working in school settings are highly regarded by the school teachers, counselors and principals for their assistance in assessing and treating problems children are having at home and school.
